Waiting in the Wings started in 2021 during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Tyne Theatre & Opera House, Tyne Audio & West End Prep joined forces to support the theatre, its staff, and 6 London West End performers by sharing a little Musical Theatre joy live online for one night on the Tyne Theatre’s 156 year old stage on 27th February 2021.
Performing all of your favourite show tunes in Waiting In The Wings were Jenna Boyd (Come From Away), Joseph Claus (The Phantom of the Opera), Jacqueline Hughes (Wicked), Kris Manuel (Matilda), Manon Taris (Beauty and the Beast) and Danny Whitehead (The Phantom of the Opera), with musical direction by Antoine Mérand.
Fast forward to 2023 and Waiting in the Wings is back!! On Saturday 30th September! With a West End Cast, Live Band & North East Musical Theatre Student Choir.
